Brass Ensemble

The Brass Ensemble is suitable for all brass players. A wide variety of music is played, with plenty of opportunity to play with the whole range of brass instruments.

The Youth Orchestra combines all sections of the orchestra to play orchestral music. This orchestra is for less experienced players.

suitable for less experienced players of grades 3 to 5.

Double reeds are oboes, cor anglais and bassoons. This ensemble gives players of these instruments a rare opportunity to meet others who play the same instruments, and share technique and a fascinating ensemble repertoire.

Intermediate Strings

Intermediate Strings is a string orchestra for younger players with limited experience. Music is arranged to suit individual standards. This orchestra provides a good introduction to playing in a group. The emphasis is on developing technique and expanding repertoire to increase confidence in developing players.

Senior Clarinet Choir

The Senior Clarinet Choir consists of about 15 young musicians playing all sizes of clarinets from E flat to contra-bass. The more unusual instruments are provided by the Music Centre.
The repertoire is a wide range of classical, jazz and light music, much of it specially arranged for clarinet choir.
